Who is Living Hawke's Bay Magazine?
LIVING Hawke's Bay magazine is an independent, locally-owned, community lifestyle magazine. It is produced by a small team of experienced editorial and advertising professionals. Since our launch in the spring of 2017, we've been telling the stories that make this region so special.
From writing and photography, to planning and designing, this magazine is Hawke's Bay made – and proud.
Our Origin Story
Founded by David Trim, Mandy Wilson, and Nick Jaggers, the magazine began as a response to the lack of home, lifestyle, and community focused publications in Hawke’s Bay. At the time, there were only a few regional publications, but none that offered the kind of in-depth, beautifully designed, 100 percent locally focused content that we believed our region deserved.

Where are we now?
Today, Living Hawke’s Bay Magazine is independently owned by David Trim, best known for his leadership and business coaching work with David Trim and Associates. Many of the original team members remain essential to the magazine’s ongoing success, including Val, our dedicated editor, and Kristen, our talented Art Director.
We now work with a core team of six (see our Meet the Team page) and a network of external contributors, including local writers and photographers who help bring each issue to life.
The magazine is currently stocked in over 100 stores across the North Island, along with selected outlets in the South Island. To find your nearest stockist, visit our Stockists page.
